Enrolled students and TOCC faculty are eligible to use the full online versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc, through a web browser.
To do so, first ensure that you are able to access your TOCC email account (ending with @tocc.edu) through https://www.gmail.com.
Once you have confirmed access to your TOCC email account, sign up for Office 365 with that email account on this page:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/office/default.aspx
You will be directed to a registration page, where you will need to type in a verification code. Look out for the code that comes through your TOCC email account, usually within just a few minutes.
Once you’ve been verified as a TOCC student (or faculty member), you will set up a password for this Office 365 account, which grants you access to the online version of all of your favorite Microsoft Office applications. You can access these using any web browser at https://www.office.com
(If you try to start a new Office document immediately after signing up, you may get an error mentioning "OneDrive". Please give the system a good 15-20 minutes to get fully set up, and then try again! This should only happen when you first sign up for Office. If you continue to have issues creating Office documents after the first day of signup, please file a help ticket so we can help you!)
You will have free access to Microsoft Office 365 online so long as you remain enrolled with (or employed by) our school!
Unfortunately, the TOCC license only allows use of the Office apps through any web browser. It does not support use of the Microsoft Office apps for mobile devices.
If you have any trouble with this process, please submit a help request at https://scac.freshdesk.com
