Did you know there is a Canvas Student mobile app for smartphones and tablets to read assignments and discussions, and to keep track of your school work? It can be confusing how to login to the app, even if you have no problem signing into Canvas through a regular web browser. Here are two ways to sign in to the Canvas Student mobile app:
Login Method 1: If you can login to the TOCC Canvas website from another device, open up Canvas and click on Account and then the QR for Mobile Login link:
You'll be asked to confirm the display of the QR code. Click the Proceed button.
A fresh QR code will be generated, just for you. The one below is just an example and will not work for you. Keep the QR code that you generate up on your screen. You will use it in just a moment.
Now pick up your mobile device (smartphone or tablet) and open the Canvas Student app. You should see a QR Login button at the bottom left. Click that and then take a picture of the QR code that was generated on the other device! If the process is successful, you will be now logged in to the Canvas Student app on your mobile device.
Login Method 2: If you cannot login to the TOCC Canvas website from another device, then you will need to submit a help ticket at https://scac.freshdesk.com to request a Canvas mobile password for the Canvas Student app. Your TOCC Gmail password will not work for this! Once you receive that Canvas mobile password, open the Canvas Student app, click the Find My School button, type in and select "Tohono O'odham Community College" (our umbrella school), and then use your TOCC Gmail address as the username and the Canvas mobile password to login to the app.
